Baby robins start to eat straight away the mother-ot farther- of the robins will go out and search for food. They colect food in there mouths and then fly back to the nest and feed the baby robins :) simples

Robins normally nest only once a year in most of their range. But in the southern parts of their range, two broods may be raised. The robin may nest again in northern sections of the country if the first nest is destroyed or the eggs taken by predators.
Baby Robins normally remain in or near the nest on surrounding branches until they are able to fly. If you have an empty nest, we fear mayhem.
Joanne Robins Barton has written: 'Out of the Robins nest'
Robins usually have lay 4 eggs and then stop. They rarely have more and it is said that if one sees more than 4 eggs that another robin probably laid them in the "borrowed" nest. I have at this moment, though, a nest with 6 ! baby robins in it. All 6 look as if they are ready to fly.
Robins don't give birth they hatch eggs.
Hummingbirds hatch in 2 weeks, and leave the nest in 3weeks.
They huddle together for warmth, but if Mom's gone too long or it's too cold, they're in trouble.
