If you want to keep it, put it in a big container or cage with very high walls so that it doesnt jump out. You can feed it crickets, mealworms, or something that they recommend in tehe pet store. Make sure that the frog has some kind of heat source ( it could just be a plain old lamp shining over it) so that it can digest it's food properly. Make sure that the cage has a big body of water in it and a large rock or something that the frog can climb up on when it need to breathe. Also, NEVER use tap water in the cage unless you use some type of chemical to get the chlorine out. You can use river/creek water or you can simply collect rain water in a container.
If this is too difficult (its difficult) then just let the frog go near a body of water or where tyou found it.
If you find a frog, it's best to leave it in its natural habitat. Frogs have a significant role in ecosystems by helping to manage insect numbers. Should the frog appear harmed or at risk, reaching out to a nearby wildlife rescue could be a good idea.
Things You'll Need:
•Flashlight
•bait (worms)
•Net or bowl (If you don't want to get your hands dirty)
1) Access the location once you have spotted the frog. Since frogs are found near water, it is likely that the frog will jump back in the water if it hears you approaching. Frogs can be very speedy, but you are faster on land than he is.
2) Distract the frog and force him onto dry land or into a corner so he can't escape. Create a distraction by throwing a rock or stick in the water, forcing him to hop onto land. Frogs are carnivores so use a small amount of worm bait and try to lure him inland.
3) Approach the frog from the water side, if possible. You will have blocked off any escape and continue to force him inland, increasing your odds of catching the frog.
4) Use a net or bowl to snatch up the frog. You can use your hands to but a net or bowl is recommended because the oils on the frogs skin that protects the frog from having certain diseases can get on your hands and the frogs got a bigger chance of dieing from diseases.
5) Blind the frog with a flashlight if it is late dusk. Frogs will get the "deer in the headlight" look and you will be able to grab up the frog before it blinks.
6) Keep your frog in a high edged container since they can climb on walls and can jump quite high. Make sure there is plenty of water and air holes in the top, if you plan to hold him for more than a few minutes.
7) Wash your hands after handing frogs. Often they will urinate when scared and they can carry bacteria and germs.
Note:Frogs and toads do not give you warts if they urinate on you. Like it says in my answer, just wash your hands even if you didn't get urinated on your hands.Frogs are diurnal, which mean that they are active in the day time, so try to look for them in the day time near or in ponds and creeks (if your going to look for frogs in creeks, look where there is no or slow flowing water).
It depends on the situation. If it is a pet frog, I would take it home and provide it with a safe and comfortable environment. If it is a wild frog, I would leave it in its natural habitat.
Assuming you're talking about a wild frog... Either leave it where it is - or move it to a safe area close by if it's in a dangerous place.
Do whatever you want but whatever you do, don't kill it or NEVER kiss it! (<:l
