If the overpayment states they overpaid you then they will deduct that from your next unemployment payment(s) unless of course you are no longer on unemployment then you are required to pay them back directly. You may have claimed or did not report monies they found out about.
No. You would at least avoid the charges for a forced repossession.
If you got unemployment in 2012 you do have to file taxes if you didn't have the taxes taken out of the unemployment you received.
no.
Maybe. Mines said that and then I was denied. I appealed and won. Then it said that again before I got my money. It means someone looked at your claim, decided if you get it or not, and sent it to Harrisburg. Harrisburg then sends you either the letter of acceptance or denial based on their decision.
Because you got a job, you are employed. Filing for unemployment after that fact means you are committing unemployment fraud, subjecting you to fines and possible imprisonment
--If she got layed off or fired---I see nothing wrong about collecting unemployment

In my case, I was allowed 6 months of pay. Then Minnesota is going to take 50% of that pay for state taxes. The rate is higher because its a severance that is paid in one lump sum. When you accept severance pay, you have to wait until the pay has run out (6 months in my case), before you can apply for unemployment insurance. -Minnesota
