If the overpayment states they overpaid you then they will deduct that from your next unemployment payment(s) unless of course you are no longer on unemployment then you are required to pay them back directly. You may have claimed or did not report monies they found out about.

Maybe. Mines said that and then I was denied. I appealed and won. Then it said that again before I got my money. It means someone looked at your claim, decided if you get it or not, and sent it to Harrisburg. Harrisburg then sends you either the letter of acceptance or denial based on their decision.

In my case, I was allowed 6 months of pay. Then Minnesota is going to take 50% of that pay for state taxes. The rate is higher because its a severance that is paid in one lump sum.
