check your heater core is it overheating?
Thermostat sticking. Replace thermostat and gasket.
Leaking hose? Defective thermostat housing or bad thermostat gasket? Bad water pump or gasket? Leak in radiator? Leak at heater core? Leak at head gasket? Coolant recovery tank?

It could be that your head gasket is blown.
it could possibly have either a blown head gasket or intake manifold gaskets leaking
Head Gasket failure or intake gasket Dexcool is the culprit, had to replace mine.

3.1 engine leaks at the intake gasket
You may have the thermostat in upside down, typically you want the pointed side facing UP.
Could be a problem with the thermostat housing or it's gasket, could be a problem with intake manifold gaskets, could be a problem with heater hoses or the fittings that screw into the manifold.
Could be the head gasket. Very common problem with this engine and model year Windstar.
have you checked ur thermoswitch or the relay Simply check if the fan units are running when the engine is hot. Easiest to do when the hood is up. Are you losing coolant from the expansion tank, this could be a sign of failed Head Gasket.
