Turn all power off, including ignition switch. Try removing your positive cable for a few minutes making sure that you have the code for your radio, especially if you have a radio with a cassette player. All of your dummy lights that are on for no reason should reset after you re-connect the battery cable. And that means if you have a radio with cassette player , you will have to enter the code for the radio to come back on, and also all of your memories will go back to their de-fault settings. So when you are done with this procedure your lights on the dash will have to be adjusted and your seats, steering wheel and mirrors also reset to your liking. To adjust your dash lights on a XJ-6 , the little round button on left side of steering column next to steering wheel adjustment switch.
