Please check your serial number again and see if there is a serial number prefix such as 69C or 70C etc.which would be before the actual serial number? If this is the case, please include this in your question to get the correct year of manufacturing.
I would need to know what model of Winchester you are asking about? Please re post your question with the model number and serial number.

Please, when asking the age of a colt ,just giving the serial number is no help. Also needed would be the model name,if possible.
I would like to ask you to check your serial number again. The Winchester model 70 rifles started with the G prefix at serial number 925,909 in 1969.Please repost your question again after checking your serial number.
Need serial number please.
serial number 119973.In order to answer your question correctly,I would need to know the model of Browning shotgun you are asking about? Please include the model and serial number together in your next question and I will see to it that you receive a answer.
No such serial number for the Colt detective special, please resubmit. If you mean 700200, than 1957 would be the year. If you mean 700020, it would be the same, 1957.
You would put the engine serial number under "Equipment Serial Number"
if that is the full serial number then the production date was in 1922. browning did not start making a sweet sixteen until 1937 so it would not be a sweet sixteen if the serial number you provided is the full serial number. please let me know if you have any questions. emorton19@gmail.com
Would you please indicate what model of Browning shotgun,or rifle you have along with the serial number listed. So that I may answer your question.
The serial number listed isn't correct. The letter J should not exist. The first character would be a number such as "1" that you listed, followed by a "P" not an e. Please recheck the number. If it turns out to be 1P1718, then it was made in 1961.
