You have as 1997 S-10 pick-up truck you do not have air conditioning When you try to use your vent for fresh air all you get is HOT air It is 10 degrees outside temperature Why am you getting Hot air?

I'm gonna say your blend door actuator is broke or stuck, either way it is a difficult job to replace/repair that part. The entire dash assembly needs to be removed. If you want to fix it yourself I would recomend purchasing a shop manual for that vehicle to help guide you thru it.
