This doesn't necessarily mean you are having a miscarriage. There are many women that have a period when they are pregnant. I myself have had my period for the first trimester with my boy and everything turned out fine with no complications. But, you should always see and ask your doctor a.s.a.p. Get to the doctor immediately!!!!!!

I came home from work in pain last Sunday. I sat down to pee and blood came out, I said, "Oh great, my period came." I thought something felt weird and it hurt BAD, so I bought a test---it was positive. I went to the OB-GYN and he said I probably miscarried, but my uterus was very tiny and my ovaries were fine--like I wasn't even pregnant...so now a week later, the tests still say positive, and the bleeding is stopping...so I wonder if it is just a period with cramps--mine were always pretty bad?? I had clots too, but nothing that looked like an embryo or sac or anything, so maybe it was just build up, and by my calculations, I couldn't have been more than three weeks since implantation, so I am hoping I am still pregnant. You should definitely get checked out because if you did miscarry and you aren't all the way clean, you are at risk for infection, also need to check your tubes to make sure not an eptopic pregnancy...these are the things I am looking into this week. Good luck to you!

Its unlikely to be a miscarriage as the embryo wouldn't of completely implanted itself in your uterus so technically you wouldn't be pregnant till this happens. Its most likely irregular bleeding or break through bleeding.

Could I be having a miscarriage if im bleeding now but i already had my period a week ago?

Since you had your period last week, it is most unlikely that you are pregnant. If the bleeding seems extreme to you, check in with your doctor.

Im having prolonged bleeding could that be signs of pregnancy its light red or burgundy with chunks could it be a miscarriage?

Prolonged Bleeding doesnt always mean you pregnant, stress can change patterens as well as having a unnormal period. If you think you pregnant n have a brownish discharge or heavey bleeding with clots i suggest seeing a doctor asap. It could mean a miscarriage an you may need medical attention, or even a prolong period may seen like a miscarriage. Either way seeing a doctor is the best way to go.

It is normal to have some spotting while you're pregnant, but if it's heavy or lasts for awhile, I would check with your gynecologist to make sure that nothing is wrong and that you're not having a miscarriage.
