I think you should talk to your husband about what you feel and ask him what he thinks. If that doesn't work, it's better to annul the marriage.

How does it affect the validity of the first marriage in New York State if your first marriage is null and void and you remarry?

If you were divorced and have the legal papers then you are both single and you can then remarry if you so choose in New York State. Some people have disagreements or become so angry they often divorce; realize it was a mistake and remarry. The validity is you were divorced and now remarried.

How common is it for a husband to leave believing the 'grass is greener' and does he usually find that it is or it isn't?

Not real common, men are usually lazy and will stay in a marriage, happy or not. But, when they do this, it is real common for them to realize that they made a mistake. My 2 sisters went through this, had a divorce and then re-married their husbands. They have wonderful relationships now. If a man does this, the couple has to put everything in the past and realize that it was a mistake and focus on the future. On the other hand, if this is a pattern of behavoir for the man, then do not put up with this. He is playing games and is using you for a door mat, then you will not have his respect and that is a total turn off. My sisters are strong women and their husbands know this. They made sure that they took care of themselves during the separation time and didn't freak out.

Why did you get married as a teen?

Most people only get wiser with age and when younger hormones are raging and romance is always there and without the experience of more than one or two relationships some teens get married thinking it will be wonderful; romantic and not have a care in the world. They may believe all those romantic movies they see. The bubble soon bursts after three to six months of marriage when the rent is due; other bills need to be paid and perhaps having one or two children and you realize one day that you have missed out on a great deal of your youth and you are not as free as you once use to be and you miss that freedom. You have two choices ... work on your marriage or, divorce and realize, that if children are involved that you will be mostly responsible for them and hopefully receive child support. Marriage is not easy and no one ever said it was and anyone who is married (no matter how many years) has to constantly work on their marriage.

Should annulment or divorce be the last option in ending a marriage?

Annulments are generally done within days to weeks after the marriage because the couple are too young; they may have been drinking and gotten married without realizing they did not love each other, etc. Divorce should always be a last option in ending a marriage because the couple took their marriage vows 'for better or for worse.' In modern society it appears it seems easier to cheat or run away from a marriage and not realize and be mature enough that marriage takes hard work and determination between the couple. However, if one of the spouses is verbally or physically abusive; has a drug issue and is not willing to get help; continuously cheats on their spouse; the male will not work to support the family, etc., then this would be grounds for a divorce. There is also an option of 'separation' so that the couple can live apart in order for them to calm down and each give themselves time to figure out if they really love their partner or they should finalize with a divorce. Additional information: There is no competition between divorce and civil annulment. Divorce is the final option for ending a marriage. Any married couple is entitled to end their marriage by divorce. Every couple is not entitled to a civil annulment. The grounds for civil annulment are more narrowly defined than grounds for divorce. The grounds for civil annulment are limited and very from state to state and from country to country. Most annulments follow a short term marriage. Some states do not allow annulments when the marriage produced children other states allow annulment after a long term marriage and the court will divide marital assets and assign child support or/and alimony. Grounds include the following: Bigamy Incest Fraud Insanity Mentally Disabled Impotence Under Legal Age of Consent Marriage Not Consummated Incompetence Duress Misunderstanding Concealment Incapacity Due to Drugs or Alcohol

What should you do if it was your fault that your first marriage ended and now you realize you made a mistake but you are remarried and not in love with him and your ex-spouse has a girlfriend?

Grow up, accept responsibility for your actions and try to stop destroying the people around you.

Why are infidelity good for some marriage?

Infidelity is not good for a marriage and it is breaking the marriage vows as well as the bond of trust the couple should have for each other. Infidelity has ruined more couples relationships or marriages. Sometimes infidelity is such a shock to the other partner they will begin to realize something is not working in their marriage and they may insist their spouse go to marriage counseling or they may just walk out the door and file for divorce.

Should you get married if you have a responsibility to raise your kid sister?

You could if the kid is old enough to realize your spouse wont be the kid's mom/dad. but there will be alot of problems if you get a divorce (sorry if that's negative). but i think if you really love him/her its all good to get married.

Do many young people want to marry when they are thirteen?

Yes many teenagers, especially girls, want to have a fairy-tale wedding and be married. However, they don't realize how hard it is to get a job and support yourself and at 13 they are not ready for marriage. This is why there are laws making sure you don't make a mistake like that before you're old enough to get a job and support yourself and your spouse.

What do you do if you are recently married realized you married too young feel traped have possibly fallen in love with someone else?

Answer The first thing you should do is see a professional as you seem to be a bit fickle and I don't mean this as an insult, but before entering the world of marriage, most people do fully realize what they are getting into, before saying I do. If you have grounds for an annulment then persue that and if not file for divorce and the next time you say the words I do, be sure that you are saying them for the right reasons.

What is the best time to file for divorce after separation?

As soon as you realize reconciliation is not an option.

You are married but not happy you reconnected with the one you have always loved from high school only to realize that you are still in love with him and vice versa but he is engaged what do you do?

Run, don't want to the nearest marriage counselor. You are married. Your obligation is to your husband. That's what you promised to do for the rest of your life.
