The atmosphere in the house is probably too warm and the ivy cannot transpire quickly enough. Spray the leaves regularly with water from a mister and try to keep the temperature down.
Either the roots or the atmosphere is too dry. Sit the pot on a tray of gravel and keep the gravel moist. If it is not too far gone this should do the trick.
The opposite of moist is dry or dried, but could also be parched or arid depending on the noun being modified.
Yes it is true that a worm can stop breathing if it gets to dried out since it breathes through its moist skin.
haha actually I've read that you can use danelion leaves to find out if you preg. i guess you pull all the yellow leaves off, don't use the stem (just leaves and they have to be moist- not dried out). then i read you pee on the leaves, let them sit for like 10 mins to an hour and if red blisters appear then your pregnant. if it really works my guess is that the hcg in your pee reacts to whatever moisture is in a dandelion. weird, huh...
Most leaves will decompose in a few weeks if they are in a moist climate.
