Brake light switches are above the brake pedal
The brake light switch on a Nissan is located just behind the brake pedal. It sends a signal to the brake lights when the pedal is pressed to turn them on.

Above the brake pedal where the master cylinder is attached to the brake pedal assembly.
Look under the dash on the driver's side, half way down the brake pedal. When you depress the brake pedal, the pedal moves away from this switch, which allows the brake light pedal circuit to complete, and your brake lights come on. This brake light switch is always hot/on, as required by federal law, so that even with no key in the ignition, if you hit your brake pedal, the brake lights will come on.

All brake light sensors are switches connected to the brake pedal. its a switch that is mounted on the front of the pedal on the top.
THE BRAKE LIGHT IS LOCATED BELOW THE DASH. LOCATE THE ARM HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND YOU WILL SEE A SWITCH THAT COMES OUT WHEN THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED TURNING THE LIGHT ON. WHEN THE BRAKE IS RELEASED THE SWITCH DEPRESSES AGAIN TURNING THE LIGHT OFF.
