Bad brake light switch
Brake switch needs replaced.
you need to replace the brake light button under the brakes inside the car
ab the above the e-brake peddle
It depends. You may need a new Brake harness. It's an electrical problem you have ti get it looked at.
How do you replace brake lights
On the left side of the engine near the brake booster/master cylinder.
at the top behind brake pedal, don't remove the lower switch it for the cruise control
the turn signal switch is probably bad
Trunk and fuel door release?
Brake pad wear sensor. Could be low brake pads or a sensor that is missing or disconnected.
yes, it lights up only when brake is applied
replace brake light switch on brake pedal
It could be brake fluid, badly adjusted emergency brake sensor, some other problem with the brakes... a dealership code scanner can tell you what's wrong.
How about a malfunctioning brake light switch
the fuse and the relay should be located in the jb #2 which is right beside the battery
It has been my personal experience with my own 1997 Cadillac Catera that the "fuse box" for the brake lights is actually the "fuse panel" located beneath an easily removable panel under the steering wheel. Please note: if your brake lights/tail lights are not working and it doesn't appear to be a fuse, there is a switch that might need to be replaced that is located under the fuse panel also and a mechanic could take 5 minutes to look and let you know if this is the case. I paid approximately $40 one year ago for the part and $70 total installed. If you want to do it yourself, it's not hard, I just didn't want to climb under the steering wheel. Also, another tell tale sign that it's the switch (can't remember proper name) going out is that sometimes you have brake/taillights and sometimes not. Good Luck!
I believe you need to turn a rotor or both rotors. They probably were not turned on your brake job It is cheaper to just replace the rotor than to have it turned, I have found this is a typical problem on the Catera
Front rotors are warped and need to be replaced. Could be an out of round disc brake rotor
replace brake light switch located on brake pedal under dash
Check for a bad ground circuit at the rear tial lights.
If your parking and dash lights work- check the bulbs they are double filamented with the larger being for tailights
I have a 79 ford chatou 12 seater van. everything works the bulbs are good but the brake lights wont turn on when I step on the pedal. whats up? if its my brake switch should I change it out? or can it be fixed also which fuse is my brake lights? wouldn't the lights all be on one fuse? If a 95 Chevy Suburban's brake lights do not work but everything else does, it may be the link that connects to the pedal that has a problem. If the pedal has been adjusted or disconnected, it may also be a reason for the issue.
where is the brake release on Cadillac Seville 1993
