If you have been found responsible for the damage, then you have the obligation to pay, whether or not you have insurance. You might attempt to negotiate a payment plan, but if you do not pay, they could sue you and seize your property and sell it, and could seize part of your wages until they have been paid in full, including the additional lawyer and court costs of obtaining payment.
