If your iPod was used it was likely already Sync'd to another persons PC, to reset this, Select settings on your menu, then select General and at the bottom of the General tab there will be a reset button, go into this menu and select erase all content and settings (this will wipe the iphone clean so make sure you make note of anything you want to keep thats on it before hand) a loading bar will come up and depending on how much is on it it takes anywhere between 5 mins and an hour to complete while its processing you will see a loading bar, after the loading bars are finished it will ask you to sync it to the new computer. Ie. Your computer! and you can put your own music and content on it from there!!!

What happens when you sync your iPod?

Syncing to your iPod means that all of the songs, apps or other things that you have bought from iTunes that are in your library but not on your iPod will be copied and put on to your iPod. To do this you need a USB 2.0 cable. This should have come with your iPod.

I have bought a used iPod touch and cant sync with my PC anyone help?

is there any error messages coming up? take it to apple Maybe you still need to install the drivers that come with the iPod Touch. To do so, you need to download the latest iTunes version. It'll install them for you automatically. Then, you can sync your iPod. If you don't want to lose the data on the iPod, you could use a third party application (see link section) to transfer it to iTunes. Finally, you can sync your iPod.

Do Apps bought from the iPod touch app store transfer automatically to iTunes on the next sync?

Yes. ...That is, assuming that the iTunes account on the computer it's syncing to is the same as the iTunes account that was used to purchase the app from the App Store on the iPod touch.

1. Connect your iPod Touch with your comuter with the provided white USB cord. 2. Open iTunes 3. Click on your iPod on the the sidebar to the left of the window. 4. Click on "Applications" and choose the apps you want to put on your iPod. 5. Click on "sync" which can be found at the bottom right hand side of the window. 6. After you iPod is done syncing then you can unplug it and play your games. ****If it is a game made for iPod Classic, iPod Nano, etc. then it will not work on the iPod Touch. *****ONLY IPOD TOUCH AND IPHONE APPS WILL WORK ON IPOD TOUCH NO APP THAT YOU HAVE USED ON ANY OTHER TYPE OF IPOD EXCEPT FOR IPOD TOUCH OR IPHONE.

I bought my ipod from my friend and it already had a lot of music that i like on it and i want to add more stuff from some cds but i dont want to get rid of the old stuff?

Ask if you guys can share an account. More than 1 ipod can be used with the same music and account but if you are using different computers you can import your music. If it is an older ipod you may be able to open up the ipod device in my computer and go to tools, folder options, view and then go down to view and then go down to view hidden files and folders. If it is not an older ipod and it is a touch or another newer ipod you have to download a program to import your music. If you don't import your music when you hook up your ipod to the computer and sync it with itunes, itunes will mirror what's in your itunes library to your ipod. So if nothing is in your itunes library everything will be deleted. There will be a message that comes up saying that the ipod has been synced with another itunes library and if you want to either sync the purchased songs from the ipod, erase and sync or cancel. Cancel the sync and click on your ipod in the side bar so you can get your ipod information there you can select to not sync your ipod when it's connected. So this it will save you a lot of hassle. Now you can download a program to transfer the songs from your ipod to your computer. Music rescue is great and it's free. There is just a message that comes up every 50 songs asking you to buy. It copies all your songs from your ipod to your computer. You can choose to transfer directly to itunes or create a folder of your songs. I recommend you create a folder and add it to itunes. Once you have all your songs in itunes double check all of your songs play and they don't have errors.
