You just got HDTV and dvr and it was working great until you turned off on demand and now regular tv won't work and i can't turn on demand back on what do you do?

Your TV has a user's menu availabale to you where you can set those items off or on. So does the satellite receiver, cable box and most likely your DVR. You just need to hunt down the source where you made the change and correct the error. If all else fails, take one item at a time, starting with the TV and set it back to the default setting, then re-adjust everything as you had it before, before moving on to the next item.
