Bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter are two possiblities. Also one time a friend had the electrical connection to an in tank fuel pump came loose
the float is a component in a carbureator that meters the amount of fuel in the fuel bowl. when it fills with gas, it shuts off the fuel supply. regulating the level of fuel in the carb.
carb. adjustment, oil my need to be changer, air filter is dirty. fuel filter needs to be replaced
you haven't said how long it runs before it shuts off. how old it is. i would start with the fuel system check the fuel flow to and into the carb.
It shuts off the fuel supply to the carb, they are spendy to buy so i just a different bolt where the solenoid was and the problem was cured. Additional: The solenoid is an important part of the safety system. No professional will tell you to bypass it because of the liabilities. The solenoid shuts off the fuel that go through the carburetor into the engine. It will shut off when there is a safety issue. It also shuts off with the key and helps prevent the engine from backfiring which can cause damage.
Fuel pump relay.
try replacing your fuel filter
if it bogs out and shuts off you might have to clean the carb. you can do this with virtually no problem. most gas stations have carb cleaner for under five bucks. it is probaly either that or bad fuel line. id take it down to your local dealer to make sure its not a serious problem.
If you mean a inertia switch that shuts off the fuel pump in case of a wreck or something, No. The computer shuts it off if the engine is not running.
Most likely fuel pump. That's the first thing that I'd check. Could also be a clogged fuel filter.
Could be sediment in the gas tank. As you drive, it works it's way into the fuel line and plugs it. This can be solved by having the tank flushed.
its your carb. you need to pull it off and blow out the main jets and the fuel jet. if that doesnt work clean the gas tank out and put a new tank of gas and oil into it
It doesn't have one. That is a Ford thing.
