You recently washed the engine bay of your car and now the car is lacking response and is very sluggish it is a carburetor engine could there be damage to it or is it something else?

If your vehicle is a little older and has a distributor you might have a little condensation in and under the the cap and rotor. Solution, Remove the screws that are holding the distributor cap on. Simply take an air hose and blow out the condensation, or just use a dry rag to wipe it out. Other item to look for is water in the spark plug hole. Same solution, blow out and dry or replace.
