1990 Jeep Cherokee i know my headlights and brights are in the same bulb and my headlights come on but brights dont so i replaced the wiring inside the steering column and they still dont work ideas?
have you replaced the dimmer switch? if not that may be the problem. I had the same problem in reverse( brights worked but headlights didn't) water damaged the dimmer switch on the steering column once I replaced it all was good.

The instruments light dim for night driving when the headlights are turned on. Check to insure that your dash dimmer switch is on high. If it is, then you have a problem with either the dimmer switch or the wiring.

I would suspect the dimmer switch or "combination switch".

They might have forgoten to plug the dimmer switch back in. The dimmer is attached to the column. Find someone to look under the dash, or take it back to whoever replaced the column. It would be their responsibility to make sure everything is right.
