You may have messed up the firing order. Need to know what engine and year you have to help you.
More than likely the bearing is bad. Take it out and see if it is hard to turn. If so, the bearings are bad and you will need to replace the distributor.

First mark the #1 cylinder position. Then mark exact position of rotor on distributor. Pull distributor out. Reach down with long screwdriver to oil pump shaft turn backwards about 6 degrees then you can drop the distributor back in. Making sure rotor aligns with the exact mark as taken out. ok do u have a check engine light on?? cuz if so then its probably the MAS or MAP sensor, not sure if its MAP or not............ But MAS is Mass Air-flow Sensor!! Any other questions let me know!! i have had this same issue with my 1992 civic delsol s, i replaced MAS and MAP sensors and it didn't help, also CEL was not lit so i had had autozone check my distributor and it failed, after replacing that my car was back to normal. also it happened to my 1993 civic lx twice and since i knew what the issue was i replaced distributor and everything was fine afterward, so have a shop test the distributor.
