this is most likely the return position sensor. This can often be fixed by lubricating the mechanism. It would be on the passenger side of van under a black plastic cap which runs along the engine firewall join. pop it off, pop the cap on the washer mechanism and lube it up with something like Moove iT. See if that helps.
You did not say what you are adjusting.
Where is the camshaft sensor located in 1997 Chevy venture
IF ITS NOT LOW ON FLUID THEN THE PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IF ITS NOT LOW ON FLUID THEN THE PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
I also have a 2000 Venture same problem. Solution was tire balance weights fell off. They were replaced and problem resolved but....the tires were worn irregularly on the inside and I had them replaced.
ball joints cannot be tightened. if they re worn and have play in them, they need to be replaced
could be linkage adjustment or low fluid level in gearbox
I had this problem with my 2001 Venture, the dealer replaced the motor and the mechanism. The van was only 6 mos. old..
Happy birthday

There are no u-joints on the venture van. It has CV joints that are sealed with rubber boots and cannot be serviced. They can only be removed and rebuilt or replaced, etc
The best time to replace a 2004 Chevy Venture timing chain is when it becomes weak or broken. It is not something that needs replaced routinely.
there is no timing belt -- only a timing chain that does not need to be replaced
