Unusual period lengths can be (but rarely are) an occurrence of pregnancy. Although if you are pregnant the bleeding would be light and would not be considered your menses. If this bleeding occurred when you expected your normal period, than you are most likely not pregnant. The only way to know 100% is to take a pregnancy test.
