Older model vehicle? the distributor probably got water in it. Spray the inside with WD-40 the WD stands for "Water Displacement" using WD-40 is an old wheeling trick that is used when you have submerged your distributor in water/mud
ur rear the engine
THE STARTER IS WET. WONT FIRE UP WHEN WET. INSTALL A STARTER SHIELD. GOOD LUCK THE STARTER IS WET. WONT FIRE UP WHEN WET. INSTALL A STARTER SHIELD. GOOD LUCK
Bad engine Rings are worn Bad valves Do a compression test (both wet and dry) to determine which is bad
Starter may have gotten wet and frozen or shorted. Check wiring to starter See if you are getting power to starter
It may stall and refuse to start if the ignition gets wet.
Depends on vehicle.First check the air filter to see if it is wet.If it gets wet,it will not let air through the filter and flood the engine. you most likely got the ignition component wet allow to dry for a day or so you should also check the condition of the spark plugs wiring
Wet where? On the outside? Or are you pulling the plugs out for examination when the car won't start? If they're wet on the outside, is the liquid on them fuel?
I would check and see how much compression you have wet and dry and start from there
if it is a 350cid/5.7l vin p engine......the water pump leaks right on top of the distributor......its a cap/rotor and when wet it wont start
the coil or the distributor cap has a crack in it, try spraying wd40 on them
Check your distributor cap. Mine was cracked and every time it rained the car wouldn't start. We replaced it and the car started every time. I don't think it's a good idea to wet down your engine, though.
Broken timing belt? Jumped time.
