I had the same problem on my 1990 Jeep Comanche 4L & just got it out of the shop a couple weeks ago. It was a fuel pump relay on the passengers side under the hood. Look for a row of black block shaped four-pronged fuse
Had same problem tried a lot of things..had mechanic stumped as well.. So we decided to change the distributer to a HEI unit...cleared up the problem and has worked great since.
Check the ignition coils and the crankshaft position sensor. One of these could be failing as they heat up.
I think your problem is either in high voltage cables or in the ignition coils. Since you have two ignition coils for 4 cylinders and missfire in one, the problem is in the cables.
Check the fuel pump?
They used arrows and bows to hunt there meat or food.
Ignition Control Module are common to cause this. Loss of spark with heat from the engine, when it cools off, starts up.
To be clear, this is the cylinder ignition lock we are talking about, not the ignition starter switch. If the tumblers are damaged or 'bad', the key may be able to be removed fromt the ignition lock while the car is running. Also, the key may simply not go into the ignition lock anymore. On most cars the cylinder ignition lock is a separate item and can be replaced for a moderate price. However, this is not something for a novice to work on since this is just one of many interconnected parts. Messing with a ignition system may make your vehicle unable to simply start again.
Many things can cause your TV to come on and automatically go off again. Common isses include power problems and clogged fans.
Yes that's common, you have to take out the BCM PRGM fuse from the fuse box and reprogram the van... look in your instruction manual for details
On most vehicles, after the problem is taken care of, the check engine light resets automatically after the ignition is turned off and then the engine is started again. If you have fixed one problem, a second problem probably exists.
Ignition module, ECM, ignition coil are all resonable suspects. Ignition module, ECM, ignition coil are all resonable suspects.
In 2009.
I was told the computer was bad. I would test the computer first. It may also be the ignition module. I had the same problem with my '94 Mazda truck. It would be running fine and then just shut off. Also had trouble starting up every now and again. Usually i could just tap on the ignition module several times and it would start right up.
