The CV joint or constant velocity axle makes this sound when it gets loose so I would take the vehicle to a reputable dealer to get it fixed.
Broken/ disconnected return spring? Worn brake pad? Loose caliper?

The Ford Taurus is famous for having leaking heater core. It is located on the passenger side inside the passenger compartment and inside the dashboard. It costs about $1000 to get a mechanic to fix it.
Usually Ford puts them either in the trunk somewhere or on the passenger side kick panel. (By the left side in front of the door) This is only place that I have seen them. Not all models have this though.
