Why does your battery light come on and power steering going out on your 95 Toyota corolla?

You're probably missing a belt - the one that turns the power steering pump and the alternator UPDATE: Turns out, the belt is NOT the answer in most cases. I've found out that the power system in a Corolla is not hydraulic, it is electrically assisted, meaning that when you start losing power in the car, you lose your power steering. You also do not want to automatically assume it is a bad battery. Corolla alternators seems to go bad on a regular basis, check that unless you want to spend money on a battery when you don't need to (like I just did...).

Where is the battery in your Toyota rav?

At first it seems tricky to find the battery, but when u open the hood, the battery is cased with a plastic cover over it on the left side closest to the windshield. Unsnap the plastic cover that protects the battery.

What is correct tire presure on a 2002 Toyota corolla?

Per the manual that came with my '02 Corolla it states 30, but we keep it seems to run smoother for me if I keep it at 35. Check inside your glove compartment for a sticker; it's usually around 32...35psi is a bit high!

Where is the starter located on a 1996 Toyota Corolla 1.6L?

It seems to be directly under the intake manifold, which is closest to the firewall, if you from the drivers side fender you can see about half of it through the holes in the intake manifold

How do you remove transmission from Toyota Corolla?

It seems to me that it is easier to do this by removing the entire engine. I'm having some real difficulties putting a new trans in. There isn't enough room to get the new one lined up properly.

Magnetic relay clutch on 2004 Toyota Corolla?

The magnetic relay clutch is located in a blackbox underhood, marked relays and fuses. It seems to be a problematic issue with Toyota in general. If removing it and recharging it by friction doesn't work, replace it. Part number is, mc clt relay, and the average cost is $90. 00.

1992 geo prizm with 3 speed automatic transmission you just saw for sale a 1992 Toyota corolla with a blown transmission Can you buy this car and drop your 3 speed in the Toyota?

You'll probably have to ask a tranny place, if you can find one you can trust. But seeing the Corolla is the twin of the Prizm, and since they're the same year...(i'm assuming your tranny is automatic too) it seems probable. You might also see if you can find someplace that will give you a part number for a tranny for the Prizm, and then for the Corolla to see if they're the same. Sorry I can't be more specific.

What is the problem when your car lights are dimming on and off and now it is totally dead the battery is fine and all the fuses are good. It is a 1984 Toyota Supra straight six cylinder.?

My aunt had an old Toyota Celica from the early 80's which experienced similar issues. The first thing to check is the alternator. It seems that the alternator wasn't charging the battery, and the lights were only being powered by the battery while driving - which made them dim.

Toyota seems to have hidden the tire placard on my Corolla 2001 so does anyone know what my tire PSI should be at?

32 psi will give you a smooth ride on that vehicle. Another way to see what the recommended psi is to check the inside of the door for a sticker that will tell you what all the pressures should be. The tire placard in Toyota Corollas is inside the glove box and at least on my 1999 Corolla is listed at 30 lbs. They are not inside the driver's door like most every other vehicle.

What size are the speakers on a 1999 Toyota corolla door panel?

They are 5 1/4 inchyea, you will need an adapter piece to use any after market speaker , which are about $10 each.the rears are 6 1/2.. yea im working on this project right now, and nobody seems to know the sizes. I have a 1999 corolla LETry to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon.

Which is the better vehicle overall the Toyota Corolla or the Hyundai elantra?

Yes - The Corolla has a 4-speed transmission. Toyota has stated that as the 4-speed is very reliable and the mileage from the car is still very competitive they saw no need to change the transmission. Toyota fuel economy still very good. Hyundai seems have more frequent service intervals for the cars. i had a 2003 Corolla that went over 150k with no major issues and now have a 2010 Corolla LE which is running very well. The 2010 is pretty quiet even if not having all the latest technology updates. Wife has a 2007 RAV 4 with 50k which has also had no issues to date. If you maintain a Toyota it will usually serve you well though would never describe my cars as exciting. Never had a Hyundai but seem to be producing great cars now. Waiting to see the long term outlook on build quality of the current Sonatas and Elantras as they reach 100k. There is a reason why Toyota has sold so many Corollas - reliability.
