If the transmission on a 1999 Chevy 4x4 will not shift into high gear, there could be a problem with the shift solenoid. There could also be a problem with a broken belt inside the transmission.
Could be a speed sensor or shift solenoid. Its probably electrical related rather that transmission related. Had the same problem with my 92 Grand Caravan. Speed Sensor fixed the problem.
If your Blazer won't go into park the problem could be with the shift linkage. There could be a problem with the cable, but the shift linkage is most likely responsible.
If your 1993 Grand Marquis won't shift out of park, it could be due to a faulty brake light switch, which prevents the gear shift from moving unless the brake pedal is pressed. Another possibility is a problem with the shift interlock system, which requires a specific sequence of actions to unlock the gear shift. Additionally, low transmission fluid levels or issues with the transmission itself may also be contributing factors. Checking these components should help identify and resolve the issue.
If a 1995 Nissan Sentra will not shift out of first, there could be a problem with the throttle valve cable. The transmission could also be damaged.
switch or possible shift solenoid problem
