On the inside of the keyless entry remote or sometimes on the back it explains how to do this. I believe you hold the unlock button along with the lock button for 7 seconds near the car. It will explain it on the inside of the keyless entry remote.
The keypad doesn't take batteries , the remote takes a battery or batteries

needs to be reprogrammed, the only place that i know of that does that is your dealership.
This model never offered keyless entry. It can be made to have keyless entry with after market products.
The batteries may be dead on the remote.
