1991 Nissan Maxima 3.0 liter SOHC V-6 (VG30E)
If you have a Maxima GXE with the VG30E engine, the fuel filter is located on the firewall on the driver's side. It simply slides into a bracket, and the rubber fuel lines are just held on by 2 clamps. The filter is in the same place on a 1992 Maxima SE with the VE30DE engine as well, but it will be slightly harder to access.
Nissan VG30e cars: 300zx, Pathfinder, Maxima, etc
NO--------THE VG30E MOTOR ...DOES NOT HAVE THE HORSE POWER OR THE MECHANICAL STRENGHT HADDLE A TURBO.....MY 91 HAS 160HP FACTORY
IF YOUR ENGINE IS A VG30E..ITS ON THE BACK OF THE TOP PART OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD TOWARDS THE DRIVERS SIDE IT THREADS IN AND HAS A HOSE RETURNING TO THE REAR VALVE COVER............ALL THE BEST .............BUDDY MACK..
I'd take it if it's running well. 119,000 is low for a '94, and the VG30E is a solid engine as well.
Manual says it can run on 91ron but should use a minimum of 95ron. My 94 Maxima (vg30e) is around 11L for 100KM (city).
The 1987 Nissan Maxima VG30E engine uses hydraulic valve adjusters (also known as "cam followers") which cannot be adjusted. Therefore, there is no specific valve clearance. If you hear valve noise, it could indicate that there's either excessive wear of valve train parts or clogged hydraulic adjusters.
