you most likely have aparasitic drain which is causing your battery to discharge, depending on what is causing the problem, was anything added recently say a new radio spliced into another wire. take a look at any visible wires that are not sealed properly, or your battery needs a good cleaning with baking soda that could cause a drain on the batt which would need to be removed as the acid from the battery could cause other potential problems also clean the ends of the cables for an easier start during the winter months while your at it.
There's a TSB on this problem.
possible short. have an auto electrical shop trace the problem.
I am having the same problem with a 1994 model. The high beam indicator is also on. I believe it is related to the daytime running lights because when I turn on the headlights the lights get brighter. As I understand it daytime running lights are the highbeams at about 50% power. I need to find where that relay is and test/replace it. wish me luck...
If it has a power distribution panel under the hood--check fuses and relays in there
The switch may be broken, or there may be a wiring problem to the switch, causing a short that bypasses the control. Check the switch and the wires running to it.
i had the exact same problem and i also replaced the switch and relay. the problem was in the wiring right at the positive post on the battery. also had to clean up many of the fuse links as well.
Problem with the charging system. Altenator, Battery, etc.. (may even be a loose belt causing the alternator not to spin fast enough to charge the battery).
Replay in lamp control module sticks closed causing lights to stay on gm posted tech service bulletin for problem.
what has happend is a wire has melted behind the cluster causing the low beams not to function recomend to take to your suzuki dealer to have repaired the wires are hard to get to and may be cover under by suzuki because it is a problem for these cars all forenza's
I have the same problem with my '91 Dodge Caravan -- it is probably the transmission.
Probably because the program causing the problem shuts down and then the system restarts normally.
It is on because there is a problem with the SRS. Take it to a professional, as working on the SRS is dangerous and not a DIY job.
