Your Dreamcast turns on just fine but then it tells you to set the time and date in but it won't let you do anything?

If the unit is not responding to controller inputs try changing the port that the controller is in. If this does not resolve the problem try using a different controller. If no port appears to work and the controller is known to be working then the issue is internal.
The most likely problem will be a loose or faulty controller port PCB.

When was the dreamcast 2 made?
There are lot of rumors for 2012 or 2013 release date. I'm sure if there's a community of people desiring it, then Sega will resurrect the Dreamcast. If Sega releases Shenmue 3, on the Xbox 360/PS3 or XBLA/PSN, I believe there will not be a Dreamcast 2 anytime soon.
