Your Panel lights won't come on with the regular lights alternator and all that stuff is fixed however the lights in the back won't come on either brake lights work and beams in front work also?

So, if your lights stay on after startup, either you have a snapped alternator belt or your alternator is buggered. We had our alternator belt snap the other day while we were driving down a hill, it was quite a scary experience as we didn't know what was going on and in automatics the breaks barely work without the alternater running.
