That is something I might say if I were to break up with my girlfriend. Using the obvious statement you presented, it is quite clear that your ex boyfriend broke up with you because of the arguments you were having in the latter stage of your relationship. He ended it saying he didn't want the responsibility because he didn't want to be going out with a girl who was constantly arguing with him (that was his exit line ). Maybe he meant he didn't want the responsibility of killing you becaue you were so annoying, cleverly leaving that job for your future boyfriend. Good day and good luck.
