I'm sure of it. My 2012 Camry's alarm went off three times in about minutes. I checked my doors, trunk and hood. All I could find was the driver interior light on. I am going to test this tomorrow. Since turning the light off, no alarm.
try the interior light switches on the doors
Interior lights are controlled by the overhead console, Hit "Menu" until you reach the interior light delay, then press "STEP" to change.
You've tripped the alarm system. You have to reset the alarm with the remote control fob and then everything will work fine.
When the LED light on an aftermarket alarm stays on, it means that the alarm is active. The light generally shows that the alarm status is "ready."
It depends on what kind of alarm you have. For my alarm, a red light is on.
I had this same problem! Tighten the 3 screws on your drivers door! This did the trick for us.
If you have factory alarm, you have a right light blinking in the dashboard (on the top of the light there is word "alarm") when the alarm is on. If you have aftermarket alarm, then the blinking light is usually to left of the steering wheel next to mirrors regulator.
There are two possibilities: There is an integrated alarm that you operate just buy having the correct key or Someone has fitted a fake alarm led. (light)
about the interior staying on all the time. i had someone come in one day saying the interior light was always on. had a look and found the little switch just left of the headlight switch was in the "on" position. silly mistake. i think if the switch is in the upmost position, the interior light will stay on. i dont know if this helps you.
The alarm is set, activated, or malfunctioning.
The function of the interior light is so that you can see inside your fridge.
