Sounds like you might have blown the motor, thrown rod, spun bearing, etc. Drive it by a local shop, for something like that, it should be a free second opinion of whether or not its repairable.
because its either cold and not warmed up or you lifters are knocking but the would be a louder knocking sound
the sound will get louder until you cant ignore it
To make the knock sound louder for people to
you probably threw a rod out, get it to a mechanic ASAP or you will have more problems.
You brakes are no longer any good. Either that or there is a little man in there trying to get out.
A knocking noise can occur from worn engine mounts. When the rubber insert on the engine mounts are old and brittle the chassis is not protected from the weight of the engine. Creating loud vibrations that get louder as the vehicle goes faster.
this sounds like the big end bearings in engine are worn.this is an expensive repair, depending on how long the knocking has been knocking and whether the crankshaft has been damaged enought to need a new crankshaft.
When you accelerate. you are putting presure on the main engine barrens. if they are going bad. You will hear this knocking sound. I don't know how many miles you have on this engine. But that's what it sounds like. But that's not all that can make this sound. You will have to tell more about it and when it started. Did it just start all at once? or did it start and then get louder?
My 99 sonoma had a knock and it was a wrist pin in the engine, my 99 jimmy fuel injection leaked gas in the engine oil and caused the main bearings to fail because of lack of proper lubrication.
it sounds like a bad throw out bearing or clutch plate. not a major deal it just starts to get louder but eventually you going to have to replace it when you do your next clutch job. chris
The dogs barks got louder and louder
Usually, a knocking engine is very bad, and requires replacement or rebuild of the engine. If the engine is going "clank-clank-clank" at idle, and the sound gets louder when you get on the gas and disappears for a sec or two when you let off, that means you gotta replace the engine. You ain't gonna go for but a couple more miles before you throw a rod....
