i will switch the question to Auto Zone , this guys at Advance dont give 1 rigth .
Oil in coolant? Coolant in oil? Excessive white smoke from tailpipe when vehicle is at normal operating temperature? Engine miss or skip?
Water from your tailpipe could just be condensation, it is caused by a difference between the exhaust temperature and the surrounding air plus the presence of humidity. If it is coolant ( smells sweet )and you are losing coolant from your radiator you probably have a bad head gasket. Overheating can cause a head gasket to blow which can be caused by a bad water pump so in a roundabout way yes.
yes
You can find a good coolant temperature sensor at Auto Parts Warehouse at http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/models/toyota~tacoma_pick_up~makemodel.html. You may also find them at Advance Auto Parts at shop.advanceautoparts.com/.../product_Engine-Coolant-Temperature
Usually the engine is burning coolant.
White smoke from tailpipe when engine is at normal operating temperature? Oil mixing with coolant? Coolant mixing with oil? Run engine to normal operating temperature remove dipstick and let a drop fall on hot part of engine - oil will smoke coolant will "sizzle" Misfire at 2 adjacient cylinders?
Vehicle likely overheated, or for some other reason, the head gasket has been breached, allowing coolant to be burned in the engine. The coolant is consumed, appearing as whitish smoke emitting from the tailpipe.
First course of action would be to check for a coolant leak. When it's sitting in the driveway is there a puddle under it? If it's burning coolant there will be white soot in your tailpipe. Failing that I would check(replace for ~$15) the thermostat, it's the temperature sensitive valve that regulates coolant flow, it may be stuck closed.
probably means u need to change the coolant for the car, leaking coolant sumwhere
Could be getting into engine. Check tailpipe emissions for white smoke.
Coolant in the oil, low compression on the cylinder where the gasket is blown, air bubbles in the radiator, sweet smell at the tailpipe, white smoke at the tailpipe, especially at startup, & loosing coolant with no apparent leak.
Probably coolant in the oil from a blown head gasket which might also cause excessive steam from the tailpipe and hard starting. The coolant also could get into the oil through a crack in the engine block.
