Yeah, it sure is. What is that?
Raise the hood and have a helper start the car while you listen. Check around the top of the engine to find the humming.
I have a 2007 Nissan sentra and it did the same thing especially when pressing on accelerator. Had to replace my intake valve timing control solenoid bc of long oil changes.
Your car is making a funny noise while going downhill accept when pressing the gas because your car has all them teeth and no toothbrush! Also your car is a piece of crap and needs to be replaced with a better one. If I had to bet, I would say you are driving an american made car, more specifically, a Chevy. hahahaha chevy is the worst car company in the world!
it is for making to car go
To rev the engine simply means pressing the accelerator down with the car in neutral as if you are preparing to take off fast for a race.
Maybe that thumping noise is the sound of another car smashing into the rear of your car.
To my understanding, the saying is rightly "put the pedal to the metal", and would come from pressing a car's accelerator all the way down to the metal flooring. If by "popping noise" you mean backfire, it could be crossed ignition wires, or some sort of misfire.
Is it serious if my car idler is making a noise?
could be a vacum leak in the engines intake or just road noise from the tires you cant hear when you step on the gas.
I assume you mean add fuel by pressing the accelerator. In which case the engine runs faster.
