sounds like a flat battery....the sound you're hearing is most likely coming from the solenoid. When getting a jumpstart leave the othercar running for about 5 minutes connected to your battery before trying to start your car.

:P You're going to have way more detail than that! If it is an electrical sound (Fast buzz) then look at your plug-wires in a dark setting. If it's a firecracker pop sound, then inspect your manifold for cracks or blown gasket or leaks.
it depends where the popping sound is coming from it could be the steering shaft if it sounds under the steering column if not check your suspension inner and outer tie rods idler arm for excessive play

might be the fuel pump. crawl under the truck and beat on the gas tank and get some one to try to crank it. if it fires your fuel pump was the problem.

It is because soda has carbon dioxide gas in it. When the can is closed the soda is under pressure, and so the gas cannot escape. As soon as you open the bottle, the pressure is released and the gas begins to escape. That is what makes the sound. When all the carbon dioxide escapes, the soda is "flat".
