It could be bug bites, if worried about fleas check the cats coat and look for flea dirt or rinse the cat with water and if it runs red, fleas could be the culprit. Excess scratching is the most common sign of parasitic bugs. If worried about worms, check the fecal matter or bring the cat in for a vet to look over.
