Man. or Auto. manual trans-- clutch maybe glazed or worn out.It is a 97 you know.Drop the tranny and replace while it is off.(release bearing too) auto trans-- check the fluid level and smell it for a smell like of burning brakes. The clutch may be burnt out.
Standard transmission?, the clutch is slipping, probably beyond adjustment, replacement necessary.
does the car seem to loose power when the pedal has slack in it. sounds like you have a worn out clutch that is slipping. this needs to be replaced or adjusted
Not likely, sounds like your clutch disc needs rebuilt or replaced.
becuase your transmition is going out
The 4x4 slipping means that the transmission for the 4 wheel drive is not engaging like it should. The 1996 Honda might need to have the trans-axle repaired.
Please be more specific: (1) What are you trusting your friend with? Secrets? Girlfriend or Boyfriend? (2) What do you mean by slipping? What part of your trust is slipping?

This phrase, "In the fell clutch of circumstance," is a way of describing how people feel trapped in their life situations. Humans are often depressed by the circumstances that seem to control them.
AnswerI have a 99 cavalier. The drain plug for mine is in the bottom right corner of the radiator as you are facing the front of the car. You attach a rubber hose to the side and turn the plug counter clockwise to open it. I don't know if a 97 is the same, but cavaliers don't seem to change too much from one year to the next.
Broken Belt?
See the link I added.
Before replacing the clutch and clutch cable, check the cable for any signs of fraying or binding, as this could prevent proper engagement. Additionally, inspect the clutch lever and its pivot point for any obstructions or wear that might restrict movement. If the cable and lever seem fine, the issue could be with the clutch itself, such as worn plates or a stuck actuator, so consider checking those components before proceeding with replacements.
