my 100#Siberian husky had a fungal rash similar to jock itch and our vet ok'd the use of cephalexin oral antibiotic 500mg 3 times a day but i thought that might be harsh on her stomach so i gave her 500mg a day for 5 days and it did the trick. it is commonly used for bacterial infections not viral. call any vet for advice before you decide
