It obivously doesn't love it, you should eat the dog instead. Wow, that first answer's a weird one. Anyway...mother dogs can sense it when a puppy is weak, unhealthy and/or likely to die, and will shove it away in favor of the healthy pups. "Love" has absolutely nothing to do with it; this is purely instinctual behavior...survival of the fittest.

Mother dogs know what is going on with their puppies, and it is very likely that this puppy is either ill or too weak to stand up to the other puppies. I suggest taking the pup to the vet to get tests done in order to be sure.
