- As long as you are raising your child in a safe and clean environment and your new boyfriend is decent and not into a gang; drugs of any sort then it doesn't matter what your ex thinks. He would have to prove you are an unfit mother which is not easily done at times. You would be wise to seek legal counsel to know what your rights are. It would also be wise of you not to have your boyfriend spend the night or move in until you seek legal counsel.
