Of course she is mad; you lied to your ex girlfriend. You shouldn't have lied to her and now you are going to have to face the consequences. You have to explain yourself to your ex and deal with it. She is hurt, understandably, and you will have to listen to it.

But, don't make them beg for your friendship because that's wrong just be mad at them until they apologize and tell you it will never happen again.
