Whether she made several advances on him or not he is trying to squirm out of this difficult situation and placing the blame on her and not taking responsibility for his own actions. All he had to do was open his mouth and tell her he was in love with you and getting married. Then sit your new husband down and communicate the fact that this is how things are going to be: Good communication skills, honestly, loyalty and building on your relationship into the future or you'll kick his butt out the door.

Third, does your husband's ex expect him to pay her child support for the child. Fourth, if "several advances" means romantic advances, how did your husband react; and if "several advances" means demands for money, how should you and your husband react.

Depending upon the relative dates, the ex may have been pregnant as he claims, and she would have no reason to "admit" it except to demand child support or to try to get him back. In either case, you have an interest in the matter. If you don't believe your husband, you should ask her. If it is true, and she wants support, you and your husband should insist on a DNA test to confirm that he is the father. If she wants him back, you should ask him what his intentions are.
