My iPod touch does this all the time. There are a few things that could be happening. 1. It could be that you are in a wifi zone that is password protected, but your iPod still says you are connected. 2. You could only be close enough to the wifi that you only get one "bar" so it takes a long time to load or it never does load and says it fails.
If it can reach a Wi-Fi router, and shows so on your iPod Touch, it can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi connection while connected with your USB cable to your computer. However, it cannot connect to the internet via the USB cable and use the computer's internet access - the iPod Touch goes on the internet strictly via Wi-Fi connection.
A router connected to internet forwards packets of data (pages and requests for pages) between any device connected to it and the internet. iPod touch can connect to a (wireless) router using Wi-fi signal and therefore access internet.
If you mean connect the phone to the internet through the ipod touch, then no.
Regular iPods do not have the ability to connect to the internet. Only the iPod Touch has the ability to connect to the internet.
Yes. you can connect in the setting menu
As there is only one internet you can only connect your iPod to one.
If your talking about the Ipod Touch, it can connect to wireless networks.
for sure
Yes you can go on the Internet with an iPod Touch.
mmm no, you need a router
yes
The reason Safari says it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the Internet is because.... it cannot open a page because it is not connected to the Internet. (i.e. you don't have an internet connection - check your WiFi status in your iPod Touch "settings")
