Pads or shoes are probably worn out. Get this repaired ASAP, or you will end up spending more money on rotors or drums that these worn parts destroy. Do not ignore this.
They technically dont "chirp." They make that sound by rubbing their rear legs together. And they can all do it unless they are missing a leg
Maybe that thumping noise is the sound of another car smashing into the rear of your car.

It could be your rear breaks / including the emergency breaks, or your rear differential
rubbing from brakes or rubbing from frame
It might be the clutch but get it checked out
its the shoes on the breaks mine was doing the same quiet an exspensive job too
Your rear tire could be making a knocking sound for a number of reasons. You could have a damaged strut or axle that needs replacing.?æ
What is it rubbing against? What size tire is on there? Is it the front or rear?
