The most common reason for a 1996 Chrysler Cirrus odometer and RPM gauge to stop working is a fuse. If the fuse is removed from the dash and replaced, often times the odometer and RPM gauge will begin working.
The odometer unit has failed and will need replaced.
while driving the rpm gauge work perfect, when start accelerating the rpm can not exceed 3 with interruption in the engine
Usually the cluster has failed. You will need a new one, or a used one that has the same mileage showing.
If it is just those two that have quit, the cluster has failed. If it is just those two that have quit, the cluster has failed.
The 2 resistors in the guage cluster have come unsoldered. It is an easy fix. Here is an illustrated guide on how to do it from start to finish, and it only takes about an hour. http://members.cox.net/dpeters30/97_sebring_dash.htm
Your rpm and odometer sensor were probably busted.
1. fuel gauge or gas gauge 2. RPM gauge or tachometer 3. Speedometer or Speed Gauge 4. Oil gauge 5. Odometer 6. Electrical gauge 7. Temperature gauge
could be a bad instrument cluster panel, they had a recall on the instrument cluster panel. I had my speedometer stop working and was given a price to fix it and blew it off. Then the recall came and I got a new instrument cluster and that fixed the problem which they knew they had.
u hold down the tempurature black button on the left rpm gauge
Check your vehicle speed sensor. It controls your RPM's and your Speedometer. Hope this helps.
why doesn't my rpm gauge and temp gauge, fuel gauge not work
