If your XBOX 360 gets the rrod red ring of death can you send it to Microsoft and get another free or do you have to pay?
It depends on wether or not it is still in warranty. If it's still in its 3 year RRoD warranty period, Microsoft will usually repair it for free, or send you a refurbished console. If its warranty period has expired, or if the warranty sticker has been removed or damaged, you will need to pay for a repair or refurbished console.
What happens when your xbox 360 blinks red and give you a overheat warning and then you can't play some of your content on one your Xbox Live profiles for me Minecraft.?
i would say that xbox 360 is a little bit worse because the new xbox 360 slim is lighter, better looking and will not scratch your cds. because it does not have a tray. and the new xbox 360 slim will last longer because of the firmware it will be rare to get rrod and the xbox 360 slim is kinect ready
1.here is information from Microsoft(see link below): If your Xbox 360 console requires repair, it must be returned to a Microsoft service center for service. Note We recommend that you use only Microsoft-approved service centers. Using an unauthorized service center will invalidate the Manufacturer's Warranty, and could exclude your console from future service by Microsoft. Full details of the Manufacturer's Warranty can be found in your Xbox 360 Console Warranty manual. 2. I recommend you…
None. The now-standard 3 year warranty is included with each new Xbox 360 purchase. They track the console by its unique serial and that determines the length of time left on your warranty. If you are out of warranty, you can purchase a warranty extension on that console from Microsoft. 1-800-4MY-XBOX
'Three Rings of Death' (or 'Red Ring of Death', often abbreviated to 'RROD') refers to the way that three of the four light quadrants on an Xbox 360 light up red when a specific problem occurs with the hardware. Although there are several proposed methods of solving the issue once an Xbox has RROD'd, most require the owner to open their Xbox 360, thus voiding their warranty.
