Why do you get zapped when you rub your feet on carpet?
You get zapped when you rub your feet on the carpet, because of electrostatic discharge. When you are rubbing your feet on the floor, the atoms on the floor have electrons that get stripped off of them and get put onto your body. When you have extra electrons sitting on your body that want to get off and you go to touch some sort of conductive surface, the extra electrons transfer, causing you to get zapped.

Methadone can produce a high feeling if it is taken in excess and it can also be used to help someone to get off of other opiates.

I would never take Effexor again. To wean off of it, you should ask your dr. to lower the dose. I heard that taking prozac for a few weeks can help get off of effexor. Doctors should use ECT treatments, that reset your brain sometimes, because that actually works. Very few anti-depressants work, maybe prozac. I guess it depends on the individual person what works.
Who here has been on Effexor XR and Mirtazapine Avanza at the same time I want to know some of your Experiences?
I was prescribed Effexor 75 mg to be taken in the am and to continue with 15 mg Avanza in pm (by psych) saw GP and asked for lower dose of effexor and was given 37.5 mg. Took it at 11am having taken 15 mg Avanza night before. By 6pm I was manic, hypervigilant, tachycardic. etc etc and ended up in A&E of local hospital, where I was given valium. Further consult with GP diagnosed seretonin syndrome, apparently very unusual at such low doses. Never going near that effexor stuff again unless I am off the Avanza. Have been told recently the combo is called californian rocket fuel. Good description. I thought I was going to die. be careful if you are prescribed this combo. fine for some, not for others.
How do you switch from taking 225 mg of Effexor to 60 mg of Cymbalta?
3-4 days@ 150 mg Effexor and 30mg Cymbalta 3-4 days @75 mg Effexor and 30 mg Cymbalta 3-4 days @37.5 mg Effexor and 60 mg Cymbalta I am changing from 300mg of effexor to cymbalta the doc is first dropping the effexor xr 75mg to 225 for a week, and then down 150 for a week, clymbalta increasing to 60mg, and from the 150mg, down 37.5mg until weaned off effexor with increasing cymbalta. that is how my doctor wants to do it, however over Christmas holidays we are not touching anything, and at any time if i feel wrong i am to go directly to the hospital. talk to your doc. good luck

As it gives you sleep, you become lazy and do not walk much so you gain weight.
Can you switch from Prozac to zoloft without weaning off the Prozac first?
i wouldn't worry too much about weaning off of Prozac...it's acclimating to effexor (and weaning off of it) that's tough.that said, effexor worked wonderfully for me, pulling me out of a very deep hole.it's just that it has side effects that can be pretty rough.
