Cardiff is located on the Welsh coast in the United Kingdom. The largest city in Wales, Cardiff has a lot to offer visitors in terms of historical and cultural attractions. Although Cardiff is hundreds of years old, much of its growth has occurred in the last century, when it was officially made the capitol of Wales. Most municipal buildings, such as the city hall and national museum, were built in the 20th century.

Cathays Park is home to the grand city hall, the National Museum Gallery of Wales, and the Welsh National War Memorial, all of which are worth visiting. The museum has an extremely diverse collection ranging from art to zoology. The national memorial was originally created to remember the Welshmen who died in World War I.

Further afield is the very impressive Cardiff Castle. Its foundations date back to the distant Roman conquest of Britain; however, the castle has been updated and substantially expanded many times since then.
